This Is Lifehacker, Episode 12: Save a Soaked Gadget, Make the Ultimate Workout Playlist, and Stay Cool This Summer On the Cheap

Summer's just around the bend, and this week's episode of Lifehacker is all about making the most of your time in the great outdoors (or staying cool when you're indoors). In all, this episode highlights how to: This week's downloads of the day are focused around Google's slate of outdoors, tracking, and stargazing tools: Google Latitude, Google Earth, Google Sky, and the Android-only Google Sky Map. We've been incorporating more original video with our posts in the past year, but the Lifehacker show represents a fun new supplement to the site. It doesn't replace what we do here every day, but our hope is that it will offer a new perspective on a few of our favorite tips. So far this season, we've:
  1. Learned a little about surviving the urban jungle
  2. Upgraded our office and hid our cords
  3. Hacked our weekends with a few of our favorite outdoorsy tricks
  4. Untangled your wires and boosted your Wi-Fi
  5. Cracked Windows passwords, padlocks, and Wi-Fi
  6. Shared some of our favorite clever repurposing tricks
  7. Supercharged your camera, took better cameraphone pictures, and painted with light
  8. Customized our phones, laptops, apartments, and so on
  9. Made better coffee, cut an onion without crying, and saved time with no-knead bread
  10. Scored free money, made free phone calls, and got free space on Dropbox
  11. Set up remote access to our home computers, remote controlled our BitTorrent downloads, and set up a remote security camera
Give it a watch and let us know what you think! Grab it in any format you like: If you don't want to watch it in your browser right now, you can catch the show wherever you want, and in nearly whatever format you like.
