Welcome to Lifehacker, Episode One: Urban Survival

Welcome to Lifehacker, Episode One: Urban Survival

For six years we've been dishing out tips, tricks, shortcuts, and hacks designed to make your life easier. Today, we're bringing that idea to the wild world of online video. This is Lifehacker, Episode One: Urban Survival.

We've teamed up with internet video network Revision3 to bring this weekly show together. The basic premise is simple: There's rarely a better way to demonstrate how something works, what makes a hack so cool, or how to do something than with video. This show takes ideas we've discussed on the pages of Lifehacker and transforms them to a new medium—hopefully adding a little extra entertainment to the process.

We've been trying to incorporate original video with more of our posts in the past year, but this represents a seriously fun new supplement to the site. It doesn't replace what we do here every day, but our hope is that it will offer a new perspective on a few of our favorite tips. We're new at this whole video thing, and we're eager to hear your feedback. As a group of writers, we're not always the most dynamic on screen, but we're learning. Give it a watch and let us know what you think!

UPDATE: One of the great things about doing this show with Revision3 is that you can watch the show wherever you want, and in nearly whatever format you like. Visit the show page on Revision3 to download HD or phone-friendly versions of the show in MP4 or WMV. You can also subscribe in iTunes or via RSS.
